Police said on Saturday that a Pakistani diplomat’s cook had been arrested for allegedly attempting to sexually abuse a housekeeper at the diplomat’s residence in central Delhi’s Tilak Marg area.

He said a case under Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code (assault or criminal coercion with intent to degrade a woman) has been registered and further investigation is on.
The woman had been hired as a domestic helper several months ago and was living in a corner of the diplomatic residence grounds, the official said.
Hussain entered India from Pakistan in February, he said, adding that they have been informed that he has been deported to Pakistan and this is being verified.
