KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — A Russian missile struck a children’s hospital in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev on Monday, killing at least seven people, and a separate attack in the central Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih killed at least 10 people.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said in a social media post that Russian barrages targeted five Ukrainian cities, firing more than 40 missiles of different types and destroying apartments and civil infrastructure.
Interior Minister Igor Klimenko said at least 20 people were killed and about 50 wounded across the country in Monday morning’s attack. In Kryvyi Rog, 31 were wounded in addition to the 10 killed in what city administrator Oleksandr Birkul said was a massive missile attack.
