Team USA men’s basketball exhibition and 2024 Olympic schedule – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

The US men’s basketball team is about to begin its quest for a fifth consecutive championship.

LeBron James, Stephen Curry and co. will enter the 2024 Paris Olympics as heavy favorites, but while the U.S. team is star-studded — featuring NBA champions, Olympic gold medalists and future Hall of Famers — they’ll have a chance to warm up before the Olympic competition begins.

From exhibitions to the big day in Paris, here’s a look at what’s upcoming on the USA men’s basketball team schedule.

USA Men’s Basketball Team Pre-Olympic Schedule

Team USA is scheduled to play five exhibition games as part of the USA Basketball Showcase ahead of the 2024 Olympics, with all five games against teams that will also be competing in Paris.

The U.S. kicks off the season on Wednesday, July 10, with an exhibition match against Canada in Las Vegas.

The team will then travel to Abu Dhabi for two matches: against Australia on Monday 15 July and against Nikola Jokic’s Serbia on Wednesday 17 July.

The U.S. team will wrap up its pre-Olympic schedule in London, playing South Sudan on Saturday, July 20, and Germany on Monday, July 22 in their final warm-up match leading up to the Olympics.

Team USA Men’s Basketball 2024 Olympic Schedule

The U.S. team will begin group play against Jokic’s Serbia on Sunday, July 28, at the Pierre Mauroy Stadium in Lille, France.

The team will continue their Group C match against South Sudan on Wednesday, July 31, before competing in their final group match against Puerto Rico on Saturday, August 3.

The men’s quarterfinals will be held on Tuesday, August 6th, the semifinals on Thursday, August 8th, and the gold medal match on Saturday, August 10th.
