Below is the 2024 All-Greater Rochester boys golf team, as determined by a vote of Section V coaches with input from sportswriters from the Democrat, Chronicle and Messenger Post.

Golfer of the Year

--

–

Year: Sophomore

parents: Nicole Wegman and Jason Wehle

Key Results: I helped my team reach the section finals and share the individual section championship, finishing with eight consecutive rounds under par and 15 rounds above par, and earned this award for the effort and time I put into my game.

Why he was chosen as Golfer of the Year: Danny Wehrle has been the most consistent golfer this season. Though only a sophomore, Wehrle is already a two-time AGR first team selection. He was named to the All-State team twice and placed 17th at the state tournament in June after finishing fifth in 2023.

A two-time individual division champion, Wehrle won the Section V Class B title as a freshman at Bishop Kearney and was a co-medalist this spring at the Section V Class AA and state qualifying tournaments with teammate Richard Essen. During the postseason, Wehrle shot a three-under-par 69 at the sectional and an even-par 72 at the state qualifying round to safely advance to the NYSPHSAA tournament with a two-round total of one-under-par 141.

--

–

Year: Junior

parents: Tracy and Anthony Bradley

Key Results: He had an albatross in the second round of the 2024 McChamp Invitational Junior Championship at Memorial Park GC in Houston, then finished in the top five at regional qualifying to earn a spot in the New York State Championships.

Future Plans: I plan to compete representing a Division I collegiate golf program and eventually play professionally.

--

–

Year: Senior

parents: Ashley Sayer and Brent Burgess

Key Results: I had the honor of representing Section V at the State Championships alongside some great local players, where I shot a final round of 67 (-5) to place fourth and set the school 18-hole record.

Future Plans: He verbally committed to attend West Virginia University.

--

–

Key Results: 68 strokes to win Section V tournament

Future Plans: He is studying business while playing Division I golf at Loyola University in Maryland.

--

–

Year: 8th Grade

parents: Sandy Perry and Bastian Domadinko

Key Results: He won the Tournament of Champions with a score of 71.

Future Plans: I’m not sure yet, but I would love to play Division I golf.

--

–

Key Results: The average score for the nine holes was 36.

Future Plans: I plan on playing Division I golf in college.
