A tragic and shocking incident has occurred in Karachi, where Naveed, CEO of Euro Tech Software House, was brutally murdered by an employee over unpaid salary issues. Karachi Police have filed a murder case following the horrific incident. The incident took place at a software company located on the fourth floor of a building on Shahr-e-Faisal Road. According to the First Information Report (FIR) published by Pakistani media outlets, a heated argument broke out between the CEO and employee Shoaib. During the altercation, Shoaib allegedly attacked Naveed with a knife, severely injuring him. Despite immediate efforts to rush Naveed to hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.

Police responded swiftly and arrested Shoaib at the scene. Tipu Sultan Police Station Superintendent Tariq Mehmood confirmed that Shoaib had confessed to the crime. Shoaib admitted that a long period of unpaid salary, combined with the urgent need to pay for his ailing father’s medical treatment, had pushed him to his breaking point.

“Shoaib confessed to stabbing the victim after a heated argument over three months’ unpaid salary which led to him resigning from his job,” a police official told Arab News.

Police officials said the murder was not premeditated as Shoaib did not bring a weapon with him and instead used a knife found in his office.

According to reports citing police, Shoaib had been working with the company for nine months and was earning a monthly salary of Rs 150,000. Shoaib had repeatedly been asked by Naveed for unpaid salary due to his father’s medical expenses. This escalated into violence, with Shoaib fatally injuring Naveed.
