It’s expected to be another busy offseason for the Arkansas baseball team.
The Razorbacks will have to replace several departing position players with transfers from other programs, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see multiple players transfer from Arkansas.

Rookies who will play for Arkansas in 2025
• Kuhio Aloi, DH/infielder
Previous School: BYU
Batting/Pitching Order: Right-handed pitcher/batting right-handed
2025 Classification: 2nd year
Hometown: Wailuku, Hawaii
Kuhio Aloi, the younger brother of Arkansas shortstop Wehiwa, was named to the Freshman All-Big 12 Team after batting .269 with nine doubles, one triple, eight home runs and a team-high 38 RBIs. He was tied for the Big 12 lead with seven sacrifice flies. The 6-foot-1-inch Aloi appeared in 46 games as the designated hitter and four games as a first baseman for the Cougars.
• Michael Anderson, infielder

2025 Classification: Junior
Hometown: Haverton, Pennsylvania
Anderson, 6-foot-3 and 227 pounds, was the Rams’ starting first baseman. He had 41 RBIs at Rhode Island and set an NCAA Division I record with 12 RBIs in a March 20 game against Stonehill College (Massachusetts). As a sophomore, he batted .252 with 13 home runs and nine doubles, and as a freshman, he batted .316 with 18 doubles, 10 home runs and 43 RBIs in 52 games.
• Landon Beidershies, left-handed pitcher
Previous School: Ohio State University
2025 Classification: Junior
Hometown: Canfield, Ohio
The 6-foot-3, 225-pound Beidelsees went 6-7 with a 4.15 ERA and 1.20 WHIP in 15 starts and 84 2/3 innings for the Buckeyes in 2024. He struck out 91 batters, walked 31 and opposing batters batted .231 against him. On3.com ranked Beidelsees fifth among players available in the transfer portal at the time he signed. He had a strong arm and a fastball that was touched down at 98 mph.
• Carson Boles, OF
Previous School: Lincoln Memorial University (Tennessee)
Batting/Pitching Order: Right-handed pitcher/batting right-handed
2025 Category: Senior
Hometown: Lebanon, Tennessee
Boles is a corner outfielder who appeared in 50 games during his junior year, batting .475 with 24 doubles, one triple, 15 home runs, 68 runs scored and 68 RBIs. He was named All-America in Division II and was named South Atlantic Conference Player of the Year. His batting average and doubles combined ranked third nationally in his division and he set program records for doubles and RBIs in a single season.
• Charles Davalan, outfielder/infielder

2025 Classification: 2nd year
Birthplace: Montreal, Quebec, Canada
A selection to the All-Atlantic Sun Conference Freshman Team, the 5-foot-10 Davalan batted .288 with 16 doubles, two triples, 10 home runs, 37 RBIs and 13 of 18 stolen bases. He started 30 games as a second baseman and 26 games as a right fielder. He will play outfield professionally and will be draft eligible after his sophomore year. He is playing this summer for the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod League.
• Carson Hansen
Previous School: University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
Batting/Pitching: L/L
2025 Classification: Junior
Hometown: Pewaukee, Wisconsin
Hansen, who is 6-foot-2 and weighs 220 pounds, batted .315 with 25 doubles, 11 home runs and 63 RBIs as an All-Horizon League sophomore. He had a .404 on-base percentage, a .601 slugging percentage and a 1.005 OPS. He was 7-of-8 at stealing bases. His 25 doubles prior to the NCAA postseason were tied for fourth-highest in the league. He started 43 games as a right fielder and is playing this summer for the Green Bay Rockers of the Northwoods League.
• Brent Iredale, infielder
Previous School: New Mexico Junior College
Batting/Pitching Order: Right-handed pitcher/batting right-handed
2025 Classification: Junior
Hometown: Sydney, Australia
Iredale is ranked the No. 2 junior college prospect by Prep Baseball Report and was named an NJCAA All-American in 2024. He played third base and batted .441 with a 1.576 OPS in 58 games. Iredale recorded 25 home runs, 22 doubles, four triples, 94 runs scored and 78 RBI. He is eligible for the MLB Draft and is ranked the No. 453 prospect by Baseball America.
• Aiden Jimenez, RHP
Previous School: Oregon State University
2025 Classification: Redshirt Sophomore
Hometown: Elk Grove, California
As a 2023 freshman, Jimenez posted a 5-2 record with a 5.68 ERA and a 1.32 WHIP. He struck out 35 batters, walked seven and batted .283 in 38 innings. Jimenez made 21 relief appearances as a freshman and pitched six scoreless innings in his lone start. Jimenez was named a Cape Cod League All-Star last summer, posting a 1.14 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP in 15 2/3 innings. He has not pitched for Oregon State this year after undergoing season-ending surgery, according to The Oregonian.
• Maximus Martin, SS
Previous School: Georgia State University
Batting/Pitching Order: Right-handed pitcher/batting right-handed
2025 Classification: Junior
Hometown: Edgewater Park, New Jersey
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Martin played in 12 games in center field before assuming his role as Georgia State’s starting shortstop. As a sophomore with the Panthers in 2024, he batted .297 with 46 hits, including 12 doubles. He also had 32 walks and a .430 on-base percentage, both of which were second on the team. Martin was one home run away from hitting for the cycle in a 19-8 win over Southern Miss on April 13. He is playing this summer for the Wilmar Stingers of the Northwoods League.
• Logan Maxwell, OF
Previous School: TCU
Batting/Pitching: L/L
2025 Category: Senior
Hometown: Lima, Ohio
Maxwell batted .335 with 12 doubles, two triples and three home runs for the Horned Frogs, earning All-Big 12 honorable mention selection as a junior. He also posted a .447 on-base percentage, .427 slugging percentage and an .874 OPS with two sacrifice flies, five sacrifice bunts and was successful on 10 of 12 stolen base attempts.
• Rocco Peppi, OF
Previous schools: Fresno State University, Long Beach State University
Batting/Pitching Order: Right-handed pitcher/batting right-handed
2025 Classification: Redshirt Senior
Hometown: Huntington Beach, California
In his lone year at Fresno State, Peppi batted .327 with 14 home runs, 16 doubles, 56 RBI and 43 runs scored from a right-handed hitter, making 38 starts as a left fielder. In 2022, as a redshirt freshman at Long Beach State, he had a team-leading 23 multi-hit games and was named All-Big West honorable mention. In 2023, he batted .278 with six home runs, 14 doubles and 33 RBI.
• Elliot Peterson, C
Previous School: Southeast Community College
Batting/Pitching Order: Right-handed pitcher/batting right-handed
2025 Classification: Junior
Hometown: Elkhorn, Nebraska
Peterson led NJCAA Division I with a .507 batting average as a sophomore in 2024. He recorded 107 hits, 21 doubles, 15 home runs and six triples. He was third in the NJCAA in RBIs (91), total bases (185) and on-base percentage (.585). He walked 35 times and struck out 35 times. Peterson had a .994 fielding percentage and committed just two errors in 363 total chances. He also stopped five stolen bases and recorded two passed balls. Peterson was named an NJCAA All-American.
• Colton Reynolds
Previous School: Crowder College (Missouri)
Batting/Pitching Order: Right-handed pitcher/batting right-handed
2025 Classification: Junior
Hometown: Huntsville, Arkansas
A two-time NJCAA All-American with a program that has a long history with the Razorbacks, Reynolds batted .369 with 24 doubles, five triples, 10 home runs and 68 RBI as a sophomore, and batted .399 with 19 home runs and 79 RBI as a freshman.
• Zach Root, left-handed pitcher
Previous School: East Carolina
2025 Classification: Junior
Hometown: Fort Myers, Florida
Root is considered one of the top left-handed pitchers available in the 2025 MLB Draft. He went 6-2 with a 3.56 ERA in 68 1/3 innings as a sophomore in 2024. Root struck out 76 batters and walked 21 for a 3.62 strikeout-to-walk ratio. On3.com rated Root fourth among players available in the transfer portal and top among pitchers at the time of his signing.
• Trenton Rowan, infielder
Previous School: Seward County (Kansas) Community College
Batting/Pitching: L/R

Hometown: Erie, Colorado
Rowan played in 35 games as a third baseman and batted .403 with 11 doubles, 1 triple, 10 home runs and 41 RBIs. His OPS was 1.275.
• Carson Schlack, infielder
Previous School: Coffeyville (Kansas) Community College
Batting/Pitching: L/R
2025 Classification: Junior
Hometown: Edgerton, Kansas.
Shack played 57 games as a third baseman and batted .348 with two home runs, 42 RBIs, and 45 runs scored. He also stole bases 13-of-16 times.
• Justin Thomas
Previous schools: Georgia State University, Southwestern State University, Florida State University
Batting/Pitching Order: Right-handed pitcher/batting right-handed
2025 Classification: Junior
Hometown: Savannah, Georgia
Thomas began his career at Georgia State where he batted .193 with one double, one home run and five RBIs as a freshman for the Bulldogs in 2023. This year he played at Florida Southwestern State University where he batted .393 with a 1.113 OPS with 14 home runs, 21 doubles, two triples, 86 runs scored, 49 RBI and stole 35 of 42 bases. He was named an NJCAA All-American. Thomas is draft-eligible and is rated the No. 327 overall prospect by Baseball America.
Transferring from Arkansas to other programs
• Adam Hackman, left-handed pitcher
New school: TBA
Hackman redshirted this season as a freshman. Perfect Game ranked him as the No. 55 prospect and No. 8 left-handed pitcher in the 2023 class and also selected him as the top overall player from the state of Missouri in that class.
• Will Edmundson
New school: TBA
Edmonson spent one season at Arkansas after transferring from Hutchinson (Kansas) Community College. As a junior in 2024, Edmonson appeared in 39 games and started in 22. He batted .241/.362/.333 with one home run, five doubles and 10 RBIs.
• Jason Jones, outfielder/infielder
New School: Oklahoma State University
Jones showed great power potential but also struck out a lot during his two years with the Razorbacks. In 118 at-bats in college, he had five doubles, six home runs and 41 strikeouts. Jones worked out as a third baseman last fall and played in left field during his sophomore season, appearing in 23 games. Jones was a high draft prospect coming out of North Texas High School and was ranked fifth overall in the 2022 class.
• Hunter Grimes, outfielder/infielder
New School: Undecided
Grimes, who will turn 25 before the 2025 season, redshirted twice and earned a bonus year for players affected by the pandemic-shortened season. Grimes previously played at Texas-San Antonio and McLennan (Texas) Community College. He appeared in 19 games and started five times for the Razorbacks’ SEC championship team in 2023, and his assist from left field to home plate late in the game was key to the win against Texas A&M that year. Grimes did not play in 2024.
• Cade Smith, OF
New School: Harding University
Smith, a two-sport standout at Harding Academy, will return to his hometown of Searcy after redshirting his freshman season with the Razorbacks.
