New Delhi: Former Pakistan cricketer Basit Ali It has raised serious doubts about the current management. Pakistan Cricket TeamAccused of favoritism towards the captain Babar Azam Planning a scapegoat Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammed Rizwan Disappointing results for the team T20 World Cup motion.
In a video going viral on social media, Basit Ali, who played 19 Tests and 50 ODIs for Pakistan, claimed that the management was compiling a report blaming Afridi and Rizwan for the team’s failures. Ali warned that such actions could lead to the downfall of Pakistan cricket.

“What Teyali said is true, this report is true, Shaheen Shah Afridi or Rizwan is against it. The group has split. This report is true, this report is true, this report is true. If someone kills me, we will forgive them. Pakistan cricket is over now. Yay!” Basit said.

He stressed the seriousness of the situation and said if Afridi and Rizwan disagreed with Babar, then instead of making two scapegoats and one a hero, all three should be removed from the team.

“This statement does not mean that our common enemy is among us. Even if we had done the same to Rizwan, Shaheen Shah Afridi or Babar Azam would not have forgiven it. Even if we had done the same, it does not mean that our common enemy is among us. Even if we had done the same, it does not mean that our common enemy is among us,” he added.

Basit Ali also criticised Babar Azam’s captaincy in the recent T20 World Cup as well as in past matches, highlighting Babar’s controversial decision to choose to get Nawaz out in the final over in Melbourne.
“Yes, Babar was a tournament that nobody could win. This tournament was special for me. The World Cup was a tournament that anyone could win. Nawaz in Melbourne had just won it last week. Nobody watched the match,” Basit said.

He also expressed sympathy for Afridi, who was stripped of the captaincy after just five games, and acknowledged that such a decision would naturally cause frustration.
“This show was worthy of the title of the show we watch every day. So we are not Khalifa. This TV was aired to find out if Khalifa is pregnant with his child. ‘If you are pregnant, find out if you are pregnant. If you are not pregnant, you are not pregnant.’ Oh, this is natural,” he said.
These allegations came after Pakistan suffered an early exit from the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 after losing to the United States and India and failing to get past the group stage.
