The polls held in the Bagda Assembly by-election in West Bengal reported a voter turnout of 68.01%, which is 10.91% lower than the voter turnout in the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, where the voter turnout in this constituency was reported as 78.92%.
The by-election to Bagda Assembly seat in West Bengal was necessitated by the resignation of Biswajit Das. Bagda 94 constituency is a scheduled caste seat in North 24 Parghanth district and South East Bengal region of West Bengal. The local seat is part of the 14th Bangaon (Scheduled Caste) Lok Sabha constituency and by-elections were held on Wednesday 10 July 2024 along with 12 other seats in 7 states. Counting of votes is scheduled for Saturday 13 July 2024.
