The polls held in the Badrinath Assembly by-election in Uttarakhand reported a voter turnout of 49.8%, which is 15.87% lower than the voter turnout in the 2022 Uttarakhand Assembly elections, where the voter turnout in this constituency was reported as 65.67%.
The by-election to the Badrinath Assembly seat in Uttarakhand was necessitated by the resignation of Rajendra Singh Bhandari. Badrinath, constituency 4, is a general constituency in Chamoli district and Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. The semi-urban constituency is part of Garhwal (General) Lok Sabha constituency 2 and the by-elections were held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 along with 12 other seats in seven states. Counting of votes is scheduled for Saturday, July 13, 2024.
