According to the Wall Street Journal, X CEO Elon Musk said he will donate $45 million per month to a new super political action committee supporting former President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign.

Despite the Tesla founder’s reported donations to the political action committee, he was not named in a filing on Monday that revealed the U.S. PAC had raised more than $8 million.

Tesla and X (formerly Twitter) CEO Elon Musk speaks with other delegates during day one of the AI Safety Summit at Bletchley Park in Bletchley, England on November 1, 2023.

Other donors to the group include Joe Lonsdale, co-founder of investment firm 8VC, former U.S. ambassador to Canada Kelly Craft and investor twins Cameron and Tyler Winklesboss, The Wall Street Journal reported Monday, citing people familiar with the matter.

As of the first day of the Republican National Convention, Musk is the only Fortune 100 CEO to fully endorse a candidate in the 2024 presidential election.

Musk gives full support to Trump after rally shooting

The SpaceX CEO voiced his full support for President Trump following Saturday’s assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

“I fully support President Trump and wish him a speedy recovery,” Musk wrote to X on Saturday, sharing a video of the moment he was struck by a bullet in his right ear.

Musk has said he has voted for Democratic candidates, including President Joe Biden, in the past three presidential elections. In recent years, he has been vocal about his dissatisfaction with Democratic policies, including Biden’s open support for unions and decisions on immigration and the border.

Musk vowed earlier this year that he would not donate to either the Trump or Biden campaigns.

“Just to be absolutely clear, I have not donated to either candidate for President of the United States,” he wrote on March 6.
