The USA Basketball Showcase will be held in Abu Dhabi for the second and final time this week.
The U.S. basketball team will face Nikola Jokic and Serbia on Wednesday afternoon in the third game of their pre-Olympic showcase. The U.S. has won its first two games and is coming off a 98-92 win over Australia on Monday. Anthony Davis scored 17 points to lead the U.S. to victory.
Australia and Serbia met on Tuesday with the Boomers winning 84-73. Miami Heat guard Patty Mills led both teams with 28 points, double Jokic’s 14. Mills made 7-of-13 shots and 4-of-7 3-pointers.
Wednesday’s match also serves as a preview of the group stage of the basketball competition at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The United States and Serbia are both in Group C and will face each other in their opening group games at the Olympics.
