American businessman J. Michael Klein dies after falling from 20th floor of hotel

James Michael Klein, a financial executive who founded the Fandango movie ticket sales business in 2000, died at age 64 after jumping to his death from the 20th floor of Manhattan’s Kimberly Hotel on Tuesday morning, New York news outlets reported. variety.

He was chairman of Juxtapoz, a business incubator that has helped launch companies such as The Orchard, Tend, Earned, Great Jones and Nectar. He was also an advocate for animal protection and served as chairman of the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.

Klein graduated from Cornell University and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela B. Klein, and their six children. The couple purchased a five-bedroom lakefront home in Palm Beach for more than $20 million in late 2020, according to the outlet.
