The Paul vs. Perry fight took place on July 20th at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. The main event featured Jake Paul (10-1) facing Mike Perry (0-2). The fight was broadcast live on pay-per-view on DAZN and PPV.com.

Round 1: They come out, Perry is in the middle but Paul is looking early and far away, he moves around on the outside and lands punches to the body, Perry sees the distance and isn’t in a hurry, Paul gets on his bike and drops Perry!
Right hand catches Perry stepping in from the top, he’s fine but off balance more than anything, but it counts.
Perry gets up quickly and now tries to get it back. He charges and Paul shows solid footwork to keep his distance. Perry gets a clinch on the inside and tries to brawl but Paul breaks it. Paul lands a jab. He’s much bigger and uses it early. Left hook now from Paul. Perry backs Paul into the corner and goes for a combo but Paul mostly blocks it. Perry fights Paul but Paul shows good lead hand.
Sharp jab. Lead hook. Another lead hook. He’s hitting Perry consistently. But Perry keeps coming. He never backs down. And Paul lands another hook, then a body shot. Then a combo. Perry’s defense is his chin, which isn’t ideal early on.

Round 2: On replay, the knockdown looked like a slip, but things are like that.
Perry started to apply pressure immediately, with Paul staying away, taking aim and relentlessly landing jabs at Perry.
Alas! Paul drops Perry, but this time it’s no problem at all. He shoots him 1-1-2 and sits him out.
Perry gets up, afraid of the attack, but all he knows is to move forward. As Perry keeps moving forward, Paul tags in Perry. Paul is much faster and Perry can’t hold him off. Paul tries to blow Perry’s head off with another right hand, but it just misses, but Perry keeps pushing. Can Paul withstand the pressure of this zombie? So far, he’s looking great.
Paul lands another left as Perry charges in, but Perry keeps pushing. Perry steps in, Paul clinches, Perry spins and takes him down. The ref steps in to warn Perry, but Perry is back on his feet, hands low and looking to take Paul down. Paul is jabbing and moving, but this is a real madman like he’s never been before, and Perry keeps it up until the end of the round.

Round 3: The replay of that knockdown was beautiful. Great shot. But Perry is still Mike Perry. And he starts the round the same way. Paul is flat on his back, backed into a corner, and the crowd is cheering for Perry.
Paul tries a right hook to push Perry back, but Perry doesn’t back down. But Paul hits a good left hook. And another one. Paul moves into space, but Perry keeps coming. Perry pushes Paul back and lands a right hook. He keeps hitting it, and Paul is blocking it for now. But Perry is relentless.
Paul is backed into a corner more often, but when he does, he throws some hard punches to try to get out, but Perry catches him. Perry is no longer afraid of Paul, and Paul has to respect him. And now Perry is getting punched hard. Paul still has a good jab, but he’s getting hit a lot more. When Perry comes charging in, Paul lands some good uppercuts, but Perry has no time to catch his breath. This is going to be a long night. Perry lands some hard hooks just before the end of the fight.

Round 4: Paul is way ahead on the scorecards but this is a win he’s going to have to earn. He’s shown what he can do so far but Perry is getting better with every round. Perry needs to close the distance.
Paul lands a good right early on and tries to move forward, and again, this is his golden opportunity. Perry backs away, but he’s not good at backing away. Perry tries to regain control, but Paul clinches. He doesn’t go to the corner the same way and Perry is much less effective than he used to be. Is Perry exhausted?
Well, he just stumbles back after taking a big hit!! Perry is backed up against the ropes, Paul tries to finish him off, but Perry punches him off. And Perry fights back. Perry doesn’t die, but he does get hit in this round. Perry slows down, and Paul can’t miss with a left.
AHH! Perry’s hurt by a right punch, he puts his hands down to try and lure Paul in but Paul’s not having it. And another one! Perry’s backed into the corner and on fire! But Paul’s not going after him. Perry’s totally exhausted and Paul’s trying to take him down.

Round 5: Perry can’t fight like he did in that round again. He’s under medical supervision and the fight will continue. But the lack of defense is not ideal.
But Perry is on the offensive from the beginning. He has to move forward to win, and Paul seems to understand that. The crowd wants to cheer him on, but Perry hesitates, and he keeps getting hit with jabs. Paul dominates Perry. 1, 1-2. Paul can’t miss, and Perry’s offensive power is declining.
Paul is clearly a little slowed down with the power, but is much more active and throwing punches at will. Perry is barely fighting back so far, just a punching bag. Then Paul lands a big right. Then another. Perry is hurt and backs away. But he’s got a chin. Normally, though, with Perry doing so little offensively, the corner might consider stepping in. Then Perry lands another big right to end the round.

Round 6: Paul can win easily here and may want to. He sits long this round and lands a jab. Perry shows some energy early on but is now attacking with a left hand. And a hook puts Perry in a bind!
Perry is unsteady on his feet, and Paul goes after him!! Big combo takes Perry down!! He falls into the corner!
Perry beats the count, gets up but trips!!! Perry can’t get up and the ref calls the match over! Great stoppage, great performance from Paul.
