Meghan Markle was spotted wearing smart casual attire while attending a business summit in the Hamptons.
The 42-year-old was spotted attending the G9 Ventures Summer Summit, hosted by powerhouse Amy Griffin.
The Duchess of Sussex wore a natural-colored vest and pants by Revolve, which have a total retail price of approximately $870.
According to Page Six, Markle flew to the billionaire’s enclave from Santa Barbara, California, on a private jet with entrepreneur Jamie Kern Lima.
Sources say she’s there to get hints about her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.
Markle was photographed with fashion designer Misha Nonoo and makeup artist and cosmetics company owner Bobbi Brown.
Page Six reported that the annual event will be held at Griffin’s $13 million mansion, which she shares with her husband, billionaire hedge fund manager John Griffin.
Other stars in attendance included Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon and actress Laura Dern.
Meghan’s brand had a soft launch earlier this year, with the launch of an official Instagram page and website.
She will undoubtedly use the event to soak up new branding tips and strengthen her own brand.
Surrounding herself with people like Griffin, who is known for using “soft power,” according to The Wall Street Journal, will help her achieve that.
This includes making introductions, tracking founders, offering mentorship, and more.
She started angel investing in 2014 and launched G9 three years later. “There was a time when I was attending fundraising events and thinking, ‘Wait a minute, can I just put money into something, watch it grow and use my skills to help founders?'” she told the WSJ.
“And people said to me, ‘Why don’t you do this full time? You’re already helping people by buying their products and sending them to everyone.'”
The WSJ said the G9 isn’t leading big investments, but it has made smaller investments ranging from tens of thousands to millions of dollars.
Markle, dressed in a black ballgown, revealed her company’s logo in a 10-second Story video.
The video then shows her wearing a simple white outfit, arranging flowers and cooking in the kitchen of her $14.7 million estate.
In April, Meghan sent 50 jars of her strawberry jam to influencers and celebrity friends across the US.
Award-winning actress and comedy writer Mindy Kaling and Diana Ross’s daughter, actress Tracee Ellis Ross, both revealed on social media that they had been gifted the jars.
Each jar is labeled with the California American Riviera Orchard brand label and numbered in batches of 50. Jars are secured with lids and muslin cloth.
Meghan’s brand will reportedly include “edible oils and fats” made from pulses, garlic and sesame, as well as jellies, jams, spreads, and nut and fruit butters.
