2024 Olympic Medals: Who is leading the medal count? Let’s track the medals in each sport to find out.

The five U.S. athletes on the team — Brody Malone, Fred Richard, Asher Hong, Paul Judah and Steven Nedorosic — are looking to end a 16-year Olympic medal drought in the team final, with Malone and Richard the favorites to win individual medals for the U.S. team.
In the qualifying competitions, athletes will qualify for the team finals, all-around finals, and individual event finals. Four of the five athletes on the U.S. team will compete in each event in the qualifying competitions, with the top three scores added to the team’s score to compete in the men’s team final on July 29. To advance to the all-around final on July 31, athletes must compete in all six events and finish in the top 24 overall (top two per country). The top eight athletes who score in each event in the qualifying competitions will also advance to the event finals, but again, there is a maximum of two per country.
