The opposition parties vow to extend the alliance to other areas and stakeholders in Pakistan. During a three-day visit to Sindh, the opposition alliance will meet with the leadership of the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA), business community, and media representatives, Express News reported on Friday.

Opposition parties have decided to further expand their anti-government alliance, and in this regard, key meetings and contacts are underway.

The opposition leadership will also make a stop in Sindh. The leadership of the Pakistan Constitution Protection Movement will leave for Sindh today. During the three-day visit to Sindh, important meetings are scheduled to strengthen the Grand Alliance.

The opposition alliance will meet with the leadership of the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA), while opposition leaders will also hold a meeting with Jiye Sindh’s chief, Ayaz Palijo, in Hyderabad.

The opposition alliance delegation will include Mahmood Achakzai, Asad Qaiser, Sahibzada Hamid Raza, Akhundzada Hussain, leaders from BNP Mengal, and MWM. Additionally, Secretary-General of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Salman Akram Raja will also be part of the delegation.

During the three-day visit to Sindh, the opposition alliance will hold meetings with the business community and the bar association. The delegation is also scheduled to meet with PTI Karachi officials. Furthermore, opposition leaders will meet with the media fraternity.

JUI-F stance

In a statement, JUI-F spokesperson Aslam Ghauri said that the news of the party joining the opposition alliance has caused discomfort in certain circles, and those same circles are the ones circulating baseless news and rumors.

Ghauri further emphasized that Maulana Fazlur Rehman has been playing a pivotal role in the opposition alliance even without holding an official position. His leadership is not dependent on any formal title, and his involvement will only strengthen the opposition, he added.

He stated that the party is gradually moving towards forming a Grand Alliance, and statements like these (oppositional remarks) are actually bringing the opposition closer together.

Ghauri also mentioned that after Rehman’s speech in parliament, a campaign to malign his character has been launched. He asserted that the public is well aware of the origin of such political maneuvering.
