Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has announced plans to ease the financial burden on the salaried class in the upcoming budget, as the government looks to provide economic relief amid ongoing fiscal challenges.

Speaking to media representatives in Lahore on Sunday, Aurangzeb pointed to positive economic indicators, including a rise in the number of remittance senders to 35 million and increased inflows through the Roshan Digital Account.

“The private sector plays a crucial role in driving economic progress, and we are committed to facilitating its growth,” he said, adding that Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves are steadily improving.

The minister also reaffirmed the government’s support for the construction industry while ensuring that real estate activities remain free from speculative practices.

Pakistan’s economy has been under pressure in recent years, with rising inflation and a heavy tax burden on the salaried class. The upcoming budget is expected to introduce measures aimed at providing relief while maintaining fiscal stability.
