Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched a province-wide campaign to distribute Eid gifts among special needs children ahead of the Eid holidays.

The initiative aims to provide Eid gifts to 40,000 special students enrolled in government institutions, according to an official statement released on Saturday.

Acting on the chief minister’s directive, Special Assistant Sania Aashiq visited three special education institutions in Lahore and distributed Eid gifts on Maryam Nawaz’s behalf.

The campaign was formally inaugurated at the Government Degree College of Special Education in Johar Town.

Gifts were also distributed at the Government Shadab Institute of Special Education and the Government Degree College for Special Education in Nishtar Town.

Sania Aashiq read out a written message from the chief minister to the students and expressed kindness and care during her interactions.

As per Maryam Nawaz’s instructions, gifts and Eid cards were delivered personally to each classroom, with students expressing joy and gratitude in their own unique ways.

On the occasion, Sania Aashiq also planted a sapling in the college lawn.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that bringing joy to special children through Eid gifts was a great honour.

She added that new and innovative projects would soon be launched across Punjab to provide better educational and welfare facilities for children with special needs.
