A high-speed dumper collided with several motorcyclists near North Karachi Power House, resulting in three individuals being injured.

Following the incident, enraged protesters launched severe protests against the dumper, setting fire to five dumpers, one water tanker, and one truck at various locations, Express News reported.

According to rescue sources, the injured individuals were immediately transferred to the hospital.

After the accident, local residents chased the dumper driver and caught him on Manghopir Road. The public assaulted the driver, after which the police arrived at the scene and took him into custody.

Despite the police’s presence, the protesters continued their violent actions, pelting stones at several dumpers.

The fire truck from the New Karachi Fire Station, which was sent to extinguish the flames, came under attack from unknown agitators who pelted it with stones.

As a result, the fire brigade driver, Sabir, suffered a head injury, and the vehicle’s windscreen was shattered.

Police and rescue teams arrived at the scene and attempted to disperse the angry crowd. Authorities stated that additional police forces were called in to manage the situation.

According to police officials, the situation has been brought under control, and the area is now secure.

DIG Irfan Baloch stated that patrols have been increased in the streets and key roads, with SSP Central also arriving at the scene. He assured that those involved in the violence would be arrested.

Police authorities added that after the incident of setting five dumpers and a truck on fire at North Karachi UP Mor, the police across the city have been put on high alert, and all SHOs have been instructed to be on the streets.

Police officials also stated that no individual would be allowed to indulge in provocation or take the law into their own hands.
