Security forces killed 34 Khwarij linked to Indian Proxy Fitna Al Khwarij in multiple operations across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa from October 13 to 15.

According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted in the general area Spinwam, North Waziristan, which led to 18 terrorists were sent to hell after an intense exchange of fire.

Fitna al-Khawarij is the term the state uses to refer to the proscribed militant outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) since the war with India in May 2025.

Another IBO in South Waziristan district resulted in eight terrorists being neutralised, while a separate encounter in Bannu District killed eight more, the ISPR added.

The ISPR added that sanitization operations are ongoing to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the area.

The operations form part of Pakistan’s continued counter-terrorism campaign under the vision “Azm-e-Istehkam,” aimed at eliminating foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.

Operation Azm-e-Istehkam aims to eradicate terrorism and extremism, coordinating armed forces and law enforcement efforts while addressing public concerns to curb extremist tendencies.
