At least 15 people were killed and eight others injured on Thursday when a truck overturned near Tunnel Number Three on the Swat Motorway.

Separately, at least 11 people were injured in a severe collision between two Hiace coaches near the Gandi Parana Adda, Lakki Marwat, said officials.

The victims of the Swat Motorway incident were of the same family from Gabral area of Behrain Tehsil in Swat District.

Malakand Rescue 1122’s  medical response team dispatched an ambulance to the accident site. They were assisted by Motorway Police and other relevant personnel in the joint rescue operation. The injured and deceased were shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Batkhela, where doctors confirmed 15 fatalities.
