With the induction of the two judges, the strength of the Federal Constitutional Court has reached seven. A signboard of the court has been installed outside Courtroom No. 2 of the IHC.

Constitutional Court judges Justice Aamir Farooq and Justice Hassan Azhar Rizvi will sit on the second floor, where the courtrooms of Justice Muhammad Asif and Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro are also located.

The relocation of courtrooms resulted in the cancellation of the cause lists of Justice Muhammad Asif and Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro for the day.

Chief Justice Aminuddin Khan has constituted three benches for the FCC. Bench-1 comprises the Chief Justice, Justice Ali Baqir Najafi and Justice Arshad Hussain. Bench-2 includes Justice Hasan Azhar Rizvi and Justice KK Agha, while Bench-3 consists of Justice Aamir Farooq and Justice Rozi Khan.

Earlier, the newly established FCC issued its first cause list, formally kicking off the judicial proceedings under the newly created apex judicial forum.

Three benches of the FCC will begin hearing cases this week. A separate two-member bench comprising Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice KK Agha will likewise begin hearing cases from today.

On Friday, CJ Aminuddin Khan issued his first major administrative order by appointing key officials to the court.
