CDF Munir expresses full confidence in Pakistan Army’s capability to counter all conventional, hybrid threats

Pakistan’s military leadership emphasised that no malicious efforts, whether political or otherwise, aimed at undermining the country’s national unity, security, and stability, would be tolerated.

The statement came during the 273rd Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC), held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Wednesday. The meeting, chaired by Field Marshal Asim Munir, was attended by senior military officials. The meeting discussed key issues related to the national security besides highlighting the capabilities of the armed forces.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting categorically rejected the nexus between terrorism, crime, and vested political interests. It reiterated that all designs, meant to destabilise national unity or create divisions between the Armed Forces and the people of Pakistan, would not be allowed.

The CCC conducted a comprehensive review of both internal and external security environments, focusing on evolving threats and operational preparedness. It was reaffirmed that terrorists, particularly those under the tutelage of Indian sponsors and their facilitators, would be dealt with decisively.

In his remarks, Field Marshal Asim Munir reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast support for the legitimate struggle of the Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination. He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s principled stance on the Palestinian issue, calling for an immediate and permanent ceasefire, humanitarian access to Gaza, and a clear path to Palestinian statehood.

“It also appreciated the Balochistan Special Development Initiatives, which aim to address the challenges of terrorism linked to governance, and called for similar initiatives in other regions. These efforts are in line with the National Action Plan to ensure lasting peace and stability,” said the ISPR.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, COAS & CDF, presided over the 273rd Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) held at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi.

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Asim Munir paid tribute to the courage, professionalism, and sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces, highlighting their role in intelligence-based counter-terrorism operations across the country.

“The forum expressed, due to the combined efforts of the government, military, and the people of Pakistan, the country is steadily progressing towards stability and greater opportunities,” it added.

In his concluding remarks, Field Marshal Munir directed commanders to maintain high standards of operational readiness, discipline, training, physical fitness, technological innovations, and battlefield adaptability. He expressed full confidence in the Pakistan Army’s ability to counter a full spectrum of threats, from conventional to hybrid challenges, while safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The forum also offered Fateha for the martyrs of the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and civilians who had sacrificed their lives in recent terrorist incidents, defending the nation against foreign-sponsored terrorism.
