KARACHI:

Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that My Karachi Expo, a permanent feature of the city’s calendar, reflects Karachi’s resilience, diversity, and economic vitality despite multiple challenges.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 21st edition of the exhibition, the chief minister congratulated the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) on its successful organisation, terming its continuity a major achievement. He noted that millions of citizens visited the expo over the past few days, actively participating in shopping, cultural, and business activities.

Shah said stalls from several countries showcased products and culture, adding to the event’s international character. He acknowledged that the nation was still grieving recent tragedies, including the Islamabad incident and the Gul Plaza fire in Karachi, but assured that the Sindh government, in collaboration with KCCI, was working to support victims and rehabilitate damaged shops.

Highlighting Karachi’s vibrancy, the chief minister gratitude to the people of Sindh, especially Karachi, for their active participation in cultural, sports, business, and literary events. He visited various stalls at the expo, interacted with exhibitors, and was briefed by KCCI management on the arrangements and objectives of the exhibition.
