The U.S. Department of State has taken decisive action against entities believed to be involved in the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction by designating four companies under Executive Order 13382. These groups are accused of providing essential supplies and technology to support Pakistan’s ballistic missile program. Long-range missile development capability.

The U.S. State Department in Washington announced on April 19, “Three of the targeted companies are based in China, and the fourth is in Belarus.”

“The sanctioned companies include China-based Xi’an Longde Technology Development Co., Ltd., Tianjin Creation Source International Trade Co., Ltd., Grandpect Company, and Belarus-based Minsk Wheel Tractor Factory,” the media statement said. About.

“These organizations are supplying missiles.”–“Items fall under Pakistan’s ballistic missile program, including its long-range missile program,” the statement said.

The State Department further stated, “These sanctions mean that all property and interests of a company in the United States or owned or controlled by U.S. citizens are blocked, and the United States Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) must be reported to.”

The statement further states that “individuals or entities with direct or indirect ownership of 50% or more of these sanctioned companies will also be subject to deterrent measures.”

Following the US decision to impose sanctions on commercial entities for alleged links to Pakistan’s ballistic missile program, Pakistan Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said on Thursday: In the past, it investigated allegations of links to Pakistan’s ballistic missile program without sharing any evidence. ”

He added, “While I am not aware of the details of the latest US measures, I have seen many examples of listings taking place in the past.”

“Pakistan remains ready to discuss end-use and end-user verification mechanisms to ensure that legitimate commercial users are not harmed by discriminatory application of export controls,” Baloch said.

In October 2023, the United States had imposed sanctions on three other Chinese companies.

These sanctions were imposed based on allegations that these companies supplied equipment related to missile production for Pakistan’s ballistic missile program.

US sanctions against Pakistan’s missile program are not a new development.

For years, the United States has regularly imposed sanctions on individuals, entities, and countries suspected of supporting or facilitating Pakistan’s ballistic missile program.

These sanctions reflect broader concerns about nuclear proliferation and regional stability in South Asia.

The latest sanctions underscore the United States’ continued efforts to deter and counter activities deemed harmful to international security and nonproliferation goals.
