India’s High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Santosh Jha, on Sunday invited senior officials of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust to discuss ways in which India can support the development of the Ramayana Trail in Sri Lanka.
Mr. Jha met Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj, Treasurer of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, and his team at India House here.
Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is the organization responsible for the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

Mr. Jha also attended the inauguration event of the Sri Lankan Ramayana Trail project, which was supported by Swami Gobind Dev Giri Maharaj.

The Ramayana is one of the two major Sanskrit epics of ancient India and an important text of Hinduism. There are 52 of his sites on the Ramayana Trail in Sri Lanka.
