In recent years, Metro Tech has seen an impressive 42% increase in applications, a 28% increase in full-time program enrollment, and a 77% increase in clients served through Oklahoma CareerTech’s economic and workforce development system. recorded an increase. What truly sets Metro Tech apart is our commitment to ensuring positive outcomes for our graduates. In 2022, his 94% of students who completed the program secured a positive employment position upon graduation. This means they are either gainfully employed, contributing to the defense of our country through military service, or continuing their education. These figures confirm the effectiveness of our programs in smoothing the transition to employment and further education.
We also recognize the challenges facing our community. In response to Oklahoma County’s 911 dispatcher shortage, Metro Tech partnered with the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office to build a command center on the South Bryant campus. His 4,100-square-foot center at the Public Safety Academy will house 16 dispatchers. It serves as a training ground for students interested in working in emergency dispatch.
