Filler will be the second female golfer from UF to participate, following Addie Bagley in 2020.
In all, the Gators fielded 15 participants for this prestigious event.
The Arnold Palmer Cup was co-founded in 1997 by Arnold Palmer and the GCAA. A Ryder Cup-style tournament, the event features top male and female college golfers. Since 2018, it has become co-educational, making it one of the few events in the sport of golf where men and women compete side by side.
The top six final U.S. and international men’s and women’s rankings will be selected to compete in the Palmer Cup. The remaining six U.S. spots will consist of five committee picks and a coach pick, including at least one non-Division I golfer. The balance of the international team also includes the selection of her five-person committee, including at least one representative from the R&A Student Tour Series, and the appointment of a coach.
The 2024 Arnold Palmer Cup is scheduled to be held from July 5th to 7th at Lahinch Golf Club in Lahinch, Ireland.
