Lok Sabha Elections 2024 in Noida: From liquor shops to offices, what’s closed and what’s open tomorrow?

Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Phase 2: Noida and Greater Noida will begin voting tomorrow, April 26, to elect MPs for Lok Sabha Elections 2024. In Gautama Buddha Nagar district, voting will be held on Friday, April 26 for certain facilities to remain. It’s closed.

In Gautam Buddha Nagar, which comprises the twin cities of Noida and Greater Noida, around 26.75 million people are eligible to vote. Similar to the poll discipline, certain institutions will remain closed across Greater Noida tomorrow as well.

Here is the list of things that are closed and open in Noida on April 26th.

– Liquor shops across Noida and Greater Noida will remain closed for 48 hours from April 24 evening till April 26 midnight.

-Schools, universities and other educational institutions will remain closed on April 26th. These facilities will be operational on Saturday, April 27th.

– Gautama Buddha Nagar district administration has directed factories and industries in Noida and Greater Noida to announce paid leave to workers on Friday, April 26.

-A district judge said the Gautama Buddha Nagar government has encouraged the Resident Welfare Authority (RWA) and the Apartment Owners Association (AOA) to ask residents to vote in large numbers.

-The Gautama Buddha Nagar government will encourage groups that see an improvement in voter turnout.

– Gautam Buddha Nagar will be one of the 89 constituencies that will go to polls on April 26 under the second phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

-This area has a high concentration of offices and housing, but is not known for high voter turnout. Gautam Buddha Nagar had recorded a dismal voter turnout of 60.47 per cent in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, 60.38 per cent in 2014 and 48 per cent in 2009.

Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Gautama Buddha Nagar: Candidates

Gautama Buddha Nagar district is divided into three districts: Noida, Dadri and Jewar. Within these segments, there are further divisions: Noida, Greater Noida, Dadri, Jewar, YEIDA City, and Dhankaur.

Prominent candidates contesting seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections are:

-Rajendra Singh Solanki (Bahujan Samaj Party)

-Dr. Mahesh Sharma (Bharatiya Janata Party)

-Rahul Awana (Samajwadi Party)
