London-based Access Group, a global provider of business management software, has acquired Houston-based hospitality technology specialist SHR.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, but a spokesman said SHR Team would become part of the Access Group.

SHR provides central reservation systems, internet booking engines, customer relationship management, revenue management systems, digital marketing and loyalty program solutions for hotels and casinos, as well as a suite of artificial intelligence-powered tools built on technology acquired through the 2022 acquisition of Avvio to deliver tailored offers to customers to improve conversion, up-sell and cross-sell.

Access Group announced it is adding SHR capabilities to a growing AI-powered platform within its Access Hospitality division, which also includes the GuestLine property management software that Access acquired last year.

“SHR is undoubtedly the world’s leading automated hotel technology platform and will add significant value to our hospitality offerings,” said Champa Magesh, Managing Director, Access Hospitality.

Access Group also said the acquisition will enable it to expand its presence in the United States and serve major hotel groups, with its hospitality solutions used in more than 20,000 properties around the world.

“We are excited to announce that Access has acquired SHR,” said Rod Jimenez, CEO of SHR.

“This strategic move for SHR will bring many benefits to our customers, who will now have access to a full suite of hospitality-specific products and services. [human resources]”We develop talent across a range of areas including payroll, learning management and staff scheduling software. We will have the opportunity to leverage the expertise of Access’s extensive partner network and learn, collaborate and grow with a larger customer community. We look forward to working with Access to accelerate capabilities and innovation in the areas of products, customer support and security.”
