According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle driven by a man in his 30s struck several plastic barriers filled with water between the freeway and the Marconi exit ramp, causing the vehicle to overturn. Authorities said all occupants in the vehicle were transported to a local hospital with minor to serious injuries. According to the California Highway Patrol, there were four minors in the vehicle. The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI. According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident is still under investigation.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.
