Alice Cooper fans certainly discovered something shocking, with many taking to X-old Twitter to find out that “RIP Alice” is currently trending.

What a great way to find out that your hero or idol has passed away, right? The only problem is… Alice Cooper isn’t dead! Fans panicked for no reason and the keyword even trended. Several people started posting their concern for Cooper on social media. One person wrote, “I saw ‘Rest in peace Alice’ trending and suddenly I’m worried about Alice Cooper.” Another said, “I saw May Alice rest in peace. It’s trending and it gave me a lump in my throat. But he’s OK. There’s nothing to see.”

And another wrote:I saw May Alice rest in peace. I thought it was Alice Cooper and I was like, “Oh yeah, there’s only 3,000 people talking about that, guys, are you kidding me?”

Rest assured, Alice Cooper fans, the rocker is alive and well. In fact, he’s currently on a world tour and will be performing in Sweden later on. So, if not Alice Cooper, then what is this craze all about? Apparently, it all started with an internet-famous goldfish named Alice. After the fish died, people took to social media to mourn it. This sparked several grieving Alice Cooper fans and a major misunderstanding.

Alice Cooper, Rock On

One person wrote: “On the one hand, the internet is currently mourning the memory of a goldfish because the world is going crazy. On the other hand, this is a huge amount of empathy for a dead goldfish and it gives me hope.”

Another wrote: “You gave her the best final days a Goldfish could ask for, and she went away knowing she was loved. May Alice rest in peace. Now go to the store and get another one. I’ve got everything I need.”

Meanwhile, some people seem to think the trending word refers to commentator Alice Stewart, who died in May. They wrote:May Alice rest in peace.Avid runner. Strong, independent woman. Died alone. No children. Her entire career will be remembered as “vaccinated.” Throwing her life away for the system, unaware of her biological inevitability. Sad.” Oh, that feels kind of mean. Anyway, Cooper lives to play again.
