NEW DELHI: Amid violent protests in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, India has accused Pakistan of pursuing an “exploitative policy” that denies local people the right to its own resources.

India’s Ministry of External Affairs said in a press conference that it believes the protests are a natural consequence of Pakistan’s continued policy of systematically extracting resources from these areas, which remain under forced and illegal occupation. He said that Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, “Such extractive policies deny local people the right to their own resources and their benefits,” adding that the union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh have He reiterated that India is and will continue to be an integral part of India.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said earlier this week that there was confusion in POK. “You can see it on social media and on TV. The analysis is very complex, but there is no doubt that people living in POK are comparing their situation to those actually living in Jammu and Kashmir and then There is no doubt in my own mind that I have said, ‘Are people today actually progressing there?”’ Jaishankar said.

Earlier, Dawn newspaper reported that all shops, including banks, were closed in three districts of Muzaffarabad, POK, and traffic and vendors were blocked. Violent clashes between security forces and demonstrators agitating against soaring prices of flour and electricity in Pakistan have left one police officer dead and more than 100 people, most of them police, killed, local media reported. I was injured.
