Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday reiterated his criticism of Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar’s “respect for Pakistan” comment.

“Rahul Baba (Gandhi)’s advisor is Mani Shankar Aiyar. He told him to respect Pakistan and not talk about PoK. Why shouldn’t they? He reacted because he had an atomic bomb,” Shah told the rally.

Earlier, Shah also targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over Mr Shankar’s remarks at an election rally in Pratapgarh in support of the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate for the Kaushambi (South Carolina) Lok Sabha seat. There were times when I was there.

In an interview on YouTube channel Chill Pir posted on April 15, Aiyar said India should have a dialogue with Pakistan, which has an atomic bomb.
“India should respect Pakistan, which has an atomic bomb. If we don’t respect them, they will think of using the bomb against India,” he said.
Aiyar’s remarks were criticized by the Bharatiya Janata Party, which accused the Congress of becoming an apologist for Pakistan and Pakistan-based terrorism.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also spoke about Aiyar’s remarks and said that the Congress is only using the threat of nuclear bombs to create fear psychosis in people’s minds, adding that people are aware that Pakistan’s nuclear bombs are not of good quality. I added that I knew.
