Amid violent protests in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, Home Minister Amit Shah has vowed that India will take back PoK from its estranged neighbor. Speaking at a rally in West Bengal’s Serampore, a senior BJP leader said peace has returned to Jammu and Kashmir ever since the party government revoked Article 370, chanting: Azadi The voice of (freedom) is echoing in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Amit Shah said before Jammu and Kashmir’s special status was revoked in 2019, stones were pelted in the erstwhile state. “…stones are being thrown in PoK now,” he added.

Reacting to Mani Shankar Aiyar’s viral remarks that India must respect nuclear Pakistan, Amit Shah said India will take back PoK despite its own bomb attacks .

“Congress leaders like Mani Shankar Aiyar say we shouldn’t do it because we have the atomic bomb. But let me say this: Pakistan-occupied Kashmir is It is part of India and we accept it,” he said, PTI reported.

The star BJP campaigner said Trinamool-ruled West Bengal has to choose which side to vote for. “Jihad” and vote “Vikas” (development).

Meanwhile, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma claimed that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir would be “annexed to India” if the Bharatiya Janata Party wins more than 400 seats in the Lok Sabha.

Addressing a rally in Jharkhand, he said his party would build the ‘Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple’ and ‘Gyanvapi Temple’ and implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC).

“If the Bharatiya Janata Party wins more than 400 seats in the Lok Sabha polls, PoK will be merged with India. More than 400 seats are required to build and implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC).In 2019, when the number of seats exceeded 300, the Ram Temple was built in Ayodhya and the 370th seat of Jammu and Kashmir was established. We ensured the abrogation of the Article and implemented the CAA,” Himanta Biswa Sarma said.

Pakistan’s paramilitary Rangers opened fire on PoK residents on Monday who were protesting demanding lower electricity taxes, cuts in subsidies, and the abolition of perks and privileges given to the prime minister and president.
