One user said it was “one of the best photos celebrating democracy in this diverse country” and added, “People can’t even imagine how hard the regime is trying to convince people in the electoral process.” I can’t. A big hug and a warm welcome.” Let’s not let down those who believe in the mainstream. ”
One of the most beautiful photos celebrating democracy in this diverse country, a big hug to the people who believe in the mainstream, who cannot even imagine the struggle of the government to convince them during the election process. And a warm welcome, let’s not let them down.

Seven members of the Shompen tribe living in the dense rainforests of Great Nicobar Island participated in the electoral process by voting for the first time in the first phase of the Andaman-Nicobar-Lok Sabha constituency on April 19. In addition to voting, they also posed for photos at polling station 411, named “Shonpenhut.” The image was shared by the Chief Electoral Officer of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
As per the 2011 census, the estimated population of Shompen was 229. Chief Electoral Officer BS Jagran told PTI that voters have been given training on “EVMs and VVPATs through trainers.” “It is good to see them coming out of the jungle and casting their vote for the first time,” he added.
