The event will bring together stakeholders from all EU coal, peat, lignite and oil shale regions (Coal+Regions) to assess progress (since the initiative’s launch in 2018) and discuss the common challenges they face in today’s rapidly changing energy landscape. A dedicated session will focus on tackling energy poverty in coal regions and empowering citizens for the energy transition, followed by site visits in the afternoon.
