Warmth and minimalism are two of the most desirable interior elements for many people, so it’s no surprise that organic modern is here to stay. This natural, chic style has been seen everywhere, from kitchens to dining rooms, especially in the homes of celebrities.
Ashley Tisdale is one of Organic Modern’s most famous fans. High School Musical The owner and star of lifestyle brand Frenshe (and its home-focused subsidiary Frenshe Interiors) recently shared a photo of her bedroom on Instagram, where the space is a cozy, neutral oasis with natural materials like wood and textured furniture.
Many minimalists have probably been decorating their homes with organic modern frames for years, and experts explain it’s a timeless trend with a European-inspired history.
“Although the organic modern style trend now has an official name and is gaining traction on social media, the concept has been pretty prevalent in the interior design world for years,” explains Albi Serfaty, co-founder and creative director of Aqua Creations Luminary design studio. “Simply put, organic modern style is a fusion of the clean aesthetic of Scandinavian design, mid-century modern design, and the warm, organic forms of bohemian style. It’s all about layering and allowing the eye to move seamlessly from uniform order to more flexible elements.”
We love how Tisdale’s bedroom embraces trends, with an emphasis on shapes, from the spherical lantern lampshade to the plush rectangular floor rug. Serfaty says the design’s appeal is clear at first glance, as it strikes a balance between comfort and elegance.
“I think this trend has grown in popularity as a reaction to the saturation of clean, pure, minimalist aesthetics we’ve seen over the last few years,” he says. “There’s a craving for ‘less order,’ and organic modern style is an answer that doesn’t stray too far from popular trends, but still adds a bit of a provocative vibe.”
