Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said on Thursday that storm drains had been cleared in advance and credited his party’s provincial govenrment for its handling of the monsoon rains. Addressing a press conference in Karachi, he accused certain media houses of running a pre-planned campaign against the Pakistan Peoples Party-led Sindh government while referring to a report published in Dawn Newspaper that acknowledged improved drainage. KARACHI: At least two people were killed and 34 others injured after a powerful explosion ripped through a fireworks warehouse near Saddar Parking Plaza along MA Jinnah Road on Thursday afternoon. The blast occurred around 3:30 pm in a ground-floor warehouse inside Al-Amena Plaza, where firecrackers and other explosive materials were stored for sale.
