DI KHAN: The security forces on Saturday neutralized two terrorists including a Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commander during an intelligence based operation (IBO) in district Tank of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P). PESHAWAR: The spillways of Tarbela Dam were opened on Saturday after a rise in the reservoir’s water level, according to officials, while the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) issued an alert to warn of potential flooding along the banks of the Indus River. In a statement, the PDMA warned that the release of water through the spillways would lead to an increase in the flow of the Indus River, with discharge levels expected to rise between 260,000 and 270,000 cusecs.
