BAJAUR:

Local residents of Mamond Tehsil in Bajaur tribal district are continuing to flee their homes due to an ongoing security operation in the area. The displacement has prompted a wave of migration toward safer regions, with many families seeking shelter with relatives.

In the absence of official relief camps from the government, Alkhidmat Foundation has stepped in to provide essential support. The organization has set up a relief camp at Badisya, where displaced families are being offered food, shelter, and other necessities.

Remarkably, the Foundation is also attending to the needs of exhausted animals that have accompanied the fleeing families. Volunteers are providing water and rest spaces for livestock, recognizing their role in the displaced communities’ lives.

Despite the scale of displacement, no government-run camps have been established, leaving the affected population largely dependent on private aid and the hospitality of relatives in safer areas.

On the other hand, a mortar shell struck the house of a man named Saiful Malook in the Gohati area of Mamond tehsil, injuring four people.

According to local sources, the injured have been identified as Gul Wali and Gulab Gul, sons of Saaz Malook; Suleman, son of Gul Khan; and Syeda Jan, son of Muhammad Haleem, all residents of Gohati, Mamond.

The wounded were shifted to Category-D Hospital Larkholozo in Mamond for treatment. Among them, the condition of a young man named Gul Wali is reported to be critical.
