Barack Obama claims his wife Michelle told their daughters to avoid going into politics

Barack Obama said his daughters Malia and Sasha are not interested in pursuing careers in politics, following the advice of their mother, Michelle Obama.

Speaking at a fundraiser for President Joe Biden in Los Angeles on Saturday, June 15, Barack, 62, opened up about his two daughters’ lives.

During a conversation between Jimmy Kimmel and Biden (81) at the Peacock Theater, Kimmel, 56, asked Biden if he thought he would be a better leader for the United States. Biden responded that his two daughters would “never” become president.

“I don’t have to answer that question because Michelle drilled them too early that going into politics was crazy,” Barack replied. “It’s never going to happen.”

“They are strong young women,” Biden added of Malia, 25, and Sasha, 22.

The former First Daughters appear to have followed Michelle’s advice, with Malia pursuing a career in entertainment instead.

Recently, Obama’s eldest daughter screened a short film she wrote and directed at the Sundance Film Festival in January.

Her film “Per Maria” heartThe novel, in which she is credited as Maria Ann, is about a man grieving the death of his mother after she “leaves an unusual wish in her will.”

“I hope that people enjoy this film and that it helps them feel a little less alone, or at least reminds them to remember those who are suffering from loneliness,” the filmmaker said in a video at the Sundance Film Festival talking about his project.

Meanwhile, her younger sister Sasha will graduate from the University of Southern California in May 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in sociology.
