A head-on crash Friday night near Fallbrook claimed the lives of two prominent Bay Area politicians. Friends say Hope Wood and Peggy Moore left this world as if they had lived their lives.
Friend Kimberly Ellis said, “These two were almost twin flames who couldn’t bear to be apart in this life or the next. And when they did, they really needed to be together.” he said.
Mr Wood and Mr Moore were celebrated at a wake on Sunday.
Wood was killed Friday night in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 76 near Horse Ranch Creek Road, according to the San Diego County Coroner’s Office. His wife, Moore, was also with him, his friends said.
The CHP said the car veered into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with the Jeep in which the passenger was riding.
At least four people were killed in a head-on collision between two vehicles on State Route 76, NBC 7’s Adonis Albright reported.

Ellis calls Moore a “giant” in politics and says he has helped people like former President Barack Obama.
