Chicago, June 6, 2024–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Simplex Trading, a leader in the proprietary trading and market making industry, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ben Londergan as Managing Director of Strategic Business Development. In this role, Londergan will be responsible for supporting the growth of Simplex by expanding partnerships and extending Simplex’s current core business into new products and geographies.

Prior to joining Simplex Trading, Londergan served as Managing Director and Head of Finance at Optios Inc. in Chicago. Previously, he was Senior Advisor at Belvedere Trading and Managing Director of Strategic Relationships and Market Ecosystem at PEAK6. He served as CEO of both GTCR portfolio company LiquidPoint and privately held options market making firm Group One Trading, where he spent 16 years. Londergan’s board of directors includes serving on the boards of directors of the Chicago Board Options Exchange, Miami Pearl Exchange and Trader Tools.
