England red-ball captain Ben Stokes revealed on Wednesday that his home was robbed by masked men while he was playing in Pakistan. The England international also said that his wife and two children were at home at the time, but fortunately they were not injured.
“On the evening of Thursday 17th October, a large number of masked people entered my home in the Castle Eden area of the North East. They escaped with jewellery, other valuables and a large amount of personal belongings. Many of those items have real sentimental value to me and my family. They are irreplaceable. This is a appeal for help in finding the people who carried out this act.” Mr. Stokes posted on X.
“The worst thing about this crime is that it took place while my wife and two young children were home. Thankfully, no one in my family was physically harmed. Understandably, the experience affected their emotional and mental state. All we can think about is how much worse this situation could have been.” he added.

Mr Stokes released photos of some of the stolen items in the hope that they would be recognized and help identify the perpetrators.
“We have lost valuable possessions, but let me be clear: My only motive for sharing these photos is not to get any material items back. Finally, I would like to thank the police for their support to my family, both now and during my time away from Pakistan. . They continue to work incredibly hard to find these people,” he posted.
