The opening ceremony for the Paris Games has only just concluded, but it’s already looking a lot like the #Baylympics, at least for the US team.

Beyoncé has given Vice President Kamala Harris permission to use her song “Freedom” in her newly launched presidential campaign and will be flying the flag for Simon Biles, LeBron James, Sha’Carey Richardson, Noah Lyles, Caleb Dressel, Katie Ledecky and all the other American athletes competing in France over the next 16 days.

In a video released by NBC and Peacock during primetime reruns of the opening ceremony on Friday, he appeared wearing a hat and boots. Cowboy Carter The superstar re-released her hit “YA YA” for her hometown team. “Look at America,” Beyoncé declared, as Biles and gymnasts Frederic Richard and Asher Hong appeared on screen. “These hopes and dreams, these superstars who represent us.”

“That pride and joy, that’s what this team is about,” added the all-time great Grammy winner, his hair always fluffed. “And that’s why I believe in this team, and that’s why I can’t wait to see what they accomplish over the next 16 days. America, let’s give a round of applause to Team USA. We are the best team.” – Check out the photo above

On a day when superstars Lady Gaga and Celine Dion stole the Olympics’ attention with their opening ceremony performances, and global sensation Aya Nakamura, the Malian-French singer-songwriter, performed, Queen Bee’s online shout-out to the American athletes from “a big, bold, beautiful and complicated country” was a standout moment on a media- and rain-soaked day for the City of Lights.

“Let’s let Beyoncé do all the talking,” NFL legend and NBC Olympic commentator Preston Manning said when the video debuted tonight.

The 33rd Olympic Games, which unofficially began a few days ago, will run until August 11th.
