Simone Biles, the winningest gymnast in history, began her 2024 season by winning her seventh career Core Hydration Classic individual all-around title at the XL Center on Saturday night.
HARTFORD, Conn. (May 18, 2024) – The winningest gymnast of all time; Simone Biles (Spring, Texas/World Champions Center) He began the 2024 season by winning his seventh career Core Hydration Classic overall title Saturday night at the XL Center.
With 49 Hartford senior gymnasts participating, Biles scored an overwhelming 59.500 points in Saturday’s individual all-around competition, taking home the individual all-around crown. Her performances, which included a gold medal in the floor exercise (14.800 points) and silver medals on the uneven bars (14.550 points) and balance beam (14.550 points), helped solidify her individual all-around title. She also recorded her highest score of the night (15.600) on vault.
ceries jones (Auburn, Wash./Ascend Gymnastics Center) took second place on the podium with a score of 57.650, and also won the gold bar with an impressive score of 15.250 on the apparatus, tying the score. kariya lincoln (Frisco, Texas/WOGA Gymnastics) Silver medal on floor with 14.000 points. Jordan Chiles (Vancouver, Washington/World Champions Center) Won the bronze medal in the individual all-around with a score of 55.450, trinity thomas (York, Pennsylvania/University of Florida) Bronze medal on horizontal bar with a score of 14.300. Jade Carey (Phoenix, Arizona/Oregon State University) won the vault gold medal with an average of 14.225 points (14.300 points, 14.150 points) on both vaults, making him his fourth victory in this event at the Classic. Suni Lee (St. Paul, Minn./Midwest Gymnastics Center) won the beam title with a score of 14.600.
The complete list of qualifiers for the 2024 Xfinity USA Gymnastics Championships, to be held from May 30th to June 2nd in Fort Worth, Texas, will be announced on Monday, May 20th.
