Addressing party workers in Banihal town of Ramban district, Chugh expressed confidence that the party would ensure complete victory.
“BJP is ready. Whenever there are elections, our workers are ready. BJP will start its winning path from Banihal,” Chugh said.
Chugh encouraged party workers to put in all their efforts to lead the BJP to victory.
He further criticised Abdullah and Mufti for not serving the people of Banihal and using the area for their own political gains. “The people of Banihal have already suffered under the atrocities of Vikar Rasool Wani (former state legislator). Many political parties have formed governments but have not done anything good for Banihal,” Chugh alleged.
Highlighting the BJP’s success in recent elections, he said, “The last three Lok Sabha elections have revealed the strength of the Indian National Congress. Rahul Gandhi has lost more than 10 elections.”
Lauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the BJP leader said it was his development policies that transformed Jammu and Kashmir from a “terror capital to a tourism capital”, adding, “Today, we have progressed from a terror capital to a tourism capital under the visionary leadership of our Prime Minister.”
On militants and Pakistan’s influence, he said Pakistan was fighting a losing battle, adding: “These plots will not be allowed to succeed. Those who take up arms and kill our people will not be tolerated.”
He assured the people of Jammu and Kashmir of their safety and his government’s commitment to end extremism. “The people of Jammu and Kashmir are very precious to us. They will be protected at all costs,” Chugh said. (News Agency)
