Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Surama Padhi was on Thursday elected unopposed as the Speaker of the Odisha Assembly.
Padhi, a two-time MLA from Rampur Assembly seat in Nayagarh constituency, was the only candidate for the post and as there were no other candidates, he won unopposed.
