KARACHI:

The body of Pakistani citizen Yasir Khan, who was martyred in an Israeli and American attack on Iran’s Bandar Abbas port, was brought back to Pakistan on Tuesday.

Along with Yasir’s body, three injured youths from Karachi also returned. They were wounded in the same attack at the Iranian port.

The father of one of the injured youths, Aswad Khan, identified as Jehanzaib Khan, told Express Tribune that they were residents of Banaras. His son was seriously injured, while the other two youths received minor injuries. The other injured individuals were said to be residents of Keamari.

The injured were moved to a hospital in Karachi, while Yasir’s body was being transported to his residence via an Edhi ambulance.

Yasir’s body was handed over to Pakistani authorities at the Taftan border, after which it was delivered to his family. Following the necessary documentation, the body was sent to Karachi.

His family members and the families of the injured had reached the Taftan border a day earlier. Representatives of the Balochistan government were also present with the families.

Yasir, a resident of the Maripur area in Karachi, had gone to Iran six months ago on a work visa.

He was working on a tugboat at Bandar Abbas Port in Iran when a missile targeted his boat, resulting in his death.
